This spring break the European Football School (EFS) of Vancouver, Canada will be sending two soccer teams of boys aged 14 to 18 to Europe to play friendlies against teams from across the continent. Between March 22nd and April 2nd the teams will travel by bus from Frankfurt to Zurich with stops and games in Frankfurt (Germany), Munich (Germany), Salzburg (Austria), Porec (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia) and Zurich (Switzerland). In all, 11 games are scheduled over the 13 day trip. Saibo Talic, the head of EFS, will be coaching the boys throughout and would like to thank his staff including: Craig Chila, Brian Hansen, Dave Madill, Igor Matic and Amar Talic for helping prepare the boys. This will be the 18th international trip organized by EFS. The boys have been practicing several times per week and are all looking forward to the challenge. Whatever the result, all agree that this will be an incredible experience. Saibo would like to recognize and thank the contributions of parents Cyndi Gerlach, Randi Sinclair, Keith Fitzpatrick and Russell Gheysson for their important work in organizing the fundamental aspects of the trip. It would not have been possible without them. Of course the European Football School would like to thank all the team contacts, across Europe, for scheduling teams and fields for the tour. Most importantly, Saibo would like to thank all the players in Europe for making themselves available for these 11 games. We will see you on the pitch very soon!
