Spring Break Camps- Guest Coach, Marco Toppmoller

The European Football School conducted a series of camps before and during Spring Break in April this year. Check out the summary and photos below.

EFS conducted a mini Spring Camp in Quesnel, BC with seven hours of instruction over the, March 8th, 9th & 10th weekend. The EFS staff enjoyed coaching 63 players who turned out and we wish to thank the Quesnel Youth Soccer Association, and Gilbert Schotel, for their support of our program in the Quesnel community.

Our second Spring Camp was a 5 day indoor camp in Salmon Arm, BC. March 18 – 22, 2013. There were many players who attended this year and our thanks go out to Kevin Harrison and the Shuswap Youth Soccer Association for their part in coordinating an excellent camp for the soccer youth of Salmon Arm, BC.

The third and fourth Spring Camps were 4 day camps, both held the week of March 18 – 21, 2013. Both camps featured our visiting guest coach, Marco Topmoller of FC Bayern Munich. Marco worked with our EFS coaches in Squamish, BC in the morning and in Burnaby, BC in the afternoon. There was an excellent turnout in Squamish due in large part to Dale Venekamp, a Squamish resident, who promoted the camp on our behalf. The Burnaby camp w coordinated by the Burnaby Selects Soccer Club in partnership with FC Estrella de Chile. Many Top level players from the Burnaby Club enjoyed the 4 day camp and special thanks go to and Claudio Ramirez and Zico Najam for their part in promoting the camp.

Our next mini Spring Camp was held in Kamloops, BC over the March 22, 23 & 24th weekend. Joining Saibo was again, guest coach, Marco Topmoller of FC Bayern Munich. There was a large turnout this year at Exhibition Park due in large part to the work of camp registrar Marnie Olson, with great promotional help from the Kamloops Youth Soccer Association, together with individuals, Nick Rinaldi, Dominic Comita, and Walt Klenner. Thank you to all of you for your continued support of EFS.

79 players took part in our final 5 day Spring Camp held in North Vancouver, BC. It was beautiful weather all week and this was the final camp for Marco Toppmoller who thoroughly enjoyed coaching our local players.

EFS wishes to thank the parents and players in each of the Quesnel, Salmon Arm, Squamish, Burnaby, Kamloops, and North Vancouver communities for their continued support of the European Football School.
